Introduction
Network Rail owns, operates and develops Britain’s railway infrastructure.
That’s 20,000 miles of track, 30,000 bridges, tunnels and viaducts and the thousands of signals, level crossings and stations. They manage 20 of the UK’s largest railway stations while all the others, over 2,500, are managed by the country’s train operating companies.
In the case of the NTR projects, the rails are main focus. Our expertise in the refurbishment, repair and recycling of metal cutting tools, we are a kay part of the manufacture of rails.
Problem
Miles of new rails are made every day in the UK. Each rail needs a level of accuracy to ensure the safety of the passengers on the trains that crisscross the country.
Solution
By using the highest quality steel, the rails are shaped and edged using large metal cutting tools.
Process
With our decades of experience refurbishing metal cutting tools, we have been able to save the company thousands in new tooling.
